Looking up at buildings and an overhanging metal design feature creating a frame full of angles in every direction

Street Geometry

Feeling like a ghost lately so I’m pushing myself to notice details I normally float past. When the sun comes out during the day, a rare thing around here in January, I’ve been taking my camera with me looking for interesting photos to take that don’t quite follow the typical touristy Halifax aesthetic. Winter is a good time for this with its low, harsh light and grimy environment. We cleanup our city for the tourists in the summer but us year-round residents get to live with the trash and black snow.

This is a photo taken on Barrington Street looking up at the buildings and the overhanging design features. The sun was directly above so I tried to position it between a few of the angles. I really liked the exploding lines going in every direction.
