A wide panoramic view of stone wall with a stone gate in it with trees overhanging over the wall

Stone gate, Bishop Street

I’ve always wanted a panoramic camera but have never been able to afford a decent one. I still can’t so I picked up a $50 plastic camera with a fake “pano mode” that is just a cropped/masked regular 35mm frame with a 22m wide-angle lens. I took it out for a spin this week now that the sun has come out and have been mildly impressed by something that is totally plastic, including the acrylic lens. This wall and gates makes a few appearances in my photo archive, it’s the wall around Government House, the home of the sovereign’s representative in Nova Scotia and is across the street from where I live.

The focus definitely falls off at the edges and the exposure isn’t the best but it’s a fun little camera to throw a bulk-rolled roll of film into and carry as a second camera. It’s definitely not going to replace the Mamiya 6!
