Grim weather plus grim lighting plus grim subject equals grim photo. I was on my walk to work on Christmas Eve when the snow began to fall again as it had a little overnight. It was dark, poorly lit, and quiet downtown but I always carry a camera with me anyway so I decided to capture the grimness of it all. I’m trying to be less precious with the photos I take, this is one of those shots I would not have previously taken, the whole situation is just not “good” enough.
