I’ve been remiss in posting photographs from my little European adventure because I’m having too much fun walking around. And by the end of the day I’m too tired to get on the laptop, go through photos and try to pick out a photo that does any kind of justice to the history, culture, and architecture of the places I’ve been visiting.
But here I am back in Ljubljana with a few minutes to spare and a cold beer to help with getting the job done. A few days ago I visited the Great Market Hall in Budapest. It’s spectacular from both an architectural and historical perspective, I absolutely loved the vaulted ceilings and huge windows filters the light inside. The market wasn’t too busy which gave me a chance to spend a little time looking for decent angles and I think I got one here. It reminds me of a photo I took years ago in Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The light is just…yes.
I was sad not to bring my film cameras with me on this trip but I just couldn’t rick getting the film fried in a CT scanner. So I’ve made a film simulation in my Fujifilm X100T to mimic the film I was going to bring, Fuji Acros 100. The digital simulation isn’t quite as alive as it is when analog but it will do.
