This little bar is tucked up a small alley in Lisbon. When we walked by there were a few people out front having a drink, just chilling out listening to some live music from a guy with a guitar, chair, microphone, and speaker. It’s these kind of small spaces that make up the charm of a city, and it’s not something you can force.
There’s a human-sized scale, a feeling of a small, personal, space that seems special and untainted by the shallowness of corporate-sponsored, ad-infested spaces we’re so unfortunately used to these days.
Places like this aren’t beholden to endless growth and shareholder returns. They sell cold beer, small plates, and a space to be a little removed from the hustle and bustle.
