Finally made it to Florence after the worst train journey of all time. I’m staying at an old Monastery up on the hill overlooking the city, away from the hustle and bustle of the city below, a real oasis with lovely views.
Walked around the city yesterday for a few hours. Could have been the exhaustion but so far I’m not too impressed. All the bad things said about overtourism in Europe seems to be concentrated here in Florence. Not great but I’m grateful to be here and will make the most of it today.
