The torrential rain in this part of Europe has caused mass damage and train cancellations. We got on the train to Vienna from Munich only to be told the trains weren’t going that far. So we rode it as far as we could, to Linz, Austria, and booked a hotel hoping the rain would stop and we could at least get out and explore this small city. No such luck! We walked over to one of the main streets in the pouring rain to get something to eat and visit the grocery store. At least we could get very inexpensive beer and wine to drown our sorrows in something other than rain.
Tomorrow we’ll get back on the train heading back west, then south. Fingers crossed.
