One of the many games of skill at the Canadian National Exhibition. There’s no better place for colour than an exhibition, every stall vying for your attention and money. I like watching people play these games, they seem to forget the world around them and immerse themselves in the task in front of them, hoping to get that ring over the bottle and win that plush toy animal. Games like these are almost becoming an anachronism in these days of digital entertainment and video games. Maybe it’s the simplicity of them that draws people back every year to try their luck. Or maybe it’s the belly full of corn dogs and cotton candy that makes people more willing to try the games. Whatever the reason, it’s a lot of fun.
