Each backcountry site has its own privy, or pit toilet as everyone but Parks Canada calls them. It’s set away from both the water — it’s the law — and the campsite, for obvious reasons. Anyway, there’s a well-travelled path to its door. Nature calls, even out in nature. I think every one of these things is exactly the same, no matter what park or part of Canada you’re in. It’s a whole in the ground with a shack over top. It’s as simple and useful as it gets. And that’s all I have to say about that.
