Since I’m in Dallas on a course for work I thought I’d try some local flavour for supper. I decided I needed a good walk to and from the taco place so I chose Torchy’s Tacos, a pleasant 25 minute walk from the hotel. Torchy’s is a local chain with a few locations in the area and come with a pretty good reputation.
I decided to try three tacos — it was difficult to choose from the amazing-looking menu — since I was a little hungry and excited to get some decent tacos into me. I ended up trying the Brushfire, Jamaican jerk chicken, grilled jalapeños, mango, sour cream and cilantro; the Crossroads, smoked beef brisket with grilled onions, jalapeños, cilantro, jack cheese and a slice of avocado; and finally the Republican, grilled jalapeño sausage, shredded cheese and pico de gallo.
So yeah, they were awesome. Like, really good and worth the hour-long walk to and from the hotel. So good I bought a t-shirt! So if you’re ever in the Dallas area and looking for good tacos, give Torchy’s a shot.
