Review:
Beautiful, simple, poetic work. Gataullin never seems to be trying to get the shot, he seems to be simply surrounded by them. The result is a collection of photographs that are natural, expressive, and attractive. In a world where everyone seems to be taking pictures hoping for attention, likes, retweets, this work feels so quiet and unassuming. Itβs easy to forget there are people taking pictures simply for the joy of it, simply to try to understand a small slice of a crazy world.
